Sarah is always amazing us with her smart and innovative thinking. She loves to play with Liam and their favorite game is "tag". Liam chases Sarah, Sarah chases Liam. But Sarah invented a new version of the game all by herself. I was lucky enough to capture some pictures of them playing.
Pic 1 - Sarah sees Liam on the other side of the yard. She immediately swings her body so the tree is between herself and Liam. Yes, she is HIDING behind the tree, on purpose! She is peeking out to see what Liam is up to.
Sarah says "the mighty lioness peers out from her blind onto the open savannah...scanning for prey."
Pic 2 - She watches Liam's position in the yard, and adjusts her body accordingly.
Sarah says"the mightly lioness checks the other side of her blind."
Pic 3 - Liam, who knows darn well Sarah is "hiding", is a good sport and pretends he can't see her there. Notice how Sarah has yanked her head back so she is totally hidden by the tree trunk.
Sarah says"the mighty Lioness uses the available cover to wait until the last possible moment to spring on her prey."
Pic 4 - Sarah allows herself one small peek around the tree.
Sarah says"the mighty Lioness senses the presence of her prey."
Pic 5 - The tension builds until she SPRINGS from behind the tree!!
Sarah says "RRRRRAAAHHHHH!!!"
Pic 6 - The end result, two dogs totally enjoying their game of Lion and Antelope.
Sarah says "I'm gonna get you!" Liam says "Ha! Catch me if you can!"
